The Comet design was created in 1979 by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who headed Georg Jensen Damask and its design development for many years. The basic element of the graphic pattern is a classic stripe design that forms the proverbial thread through the damask collection and exists in a variety of interpretations. Here, itt appears in a version where the vertical stripes vary in width, an effect that combines with the weave to lend the design a beautiful dynamic. 
 
We recommend soaking all tea towels in cold water for 24 hours before use to expand the fibres, and then wash at 60°C to ensure optimal absorbency. 
 
You can tumble dry the product, but we recommend line-drying to give a smoother result.
